Fallow deer, roe deer, red deer, wild boar and mouflon are gifted with very fine hearing, meaning that those who hunt them must be perfectly camouflaged and absolutely silent. The best way to hunt these ungulates is undoubtedly what we call “caccia all’altana”, i.e. from an elevated position on a hunting stand. From a few metres above the ground, you have a better vantage point and can blend more effectively into the environment.
Another good method of hunting roe deer, fallow deer, red deer and mouflon is “stalking”, on condition that absolute silence and good camouflage are maintained.
